Bridging the gap for patients in need
PeaceHealth financial assistance consists of two programs:
- Bridge: For patients without insurance, Medicare, Medicaid or other third-party coverage.
- Pathways: For patients who cannot afford the portion of their bill not covered by their insurance coverage.
Financial Assistance is the PeaceHealth program that provides medically necessary and some preventive services for reduced costs or without charge when payment cannot be obtained through all other available financial resources. It is limited to patients at PeaceHealth entities.
Patients may apply for Financial Assistance before, during, or after treatment. Download and print the application here. You also can get one by visiting Patient Financial Services or by calling Customer Service. See our frequently asked questions for more information.
Applications must include income verification in order to be evaluated.
Consideration of an application occurs when the application with income information is received by PeaceHealth in accordance with the PeaceHealth Financial Assistance policy. The Financial Assistance Policy is based on Federal Poverty Guidelines adjusted for family size and location, which are available on the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services website.

Financial assistance from PeaceHealth is secondary to financial resources available to the patient, including, but not limited to: insurance, third-party liability, government benefits, support from community agencies, and/or personal resources.
Financial Assistance is not granted to patients who do not cooperate with efforts to determine eligibility for government or other insurance programs. Patients who reside outside PeaceHealth’s service area are not eligible for Financial Assistance unless the patient requires emergent services while visiting in PeaceHealth’s service area.
Financial Assistance is granted only for medically necessary evidenced-based care or for urgent or emergent services. Consideration may be given for preventive screening on a case-by-case basis.
