    One out of three American adults has prediabetes and most of them don't know it. Without making lifestyle changes, many people with prediabetes can develop type 2 diabetes within five years. Type 2 diabetes is a serious condition that can lead to health issues such as heart attack, stroke, blindness, kidney failure or loss of toes, feet or legs.

You May Have Prediabetes and Be At Risk for Type 2 Diabetes If You:
  • Are over 45 years of age
  • Are overweight
  • Have a family history of type 2 diabetes
  • Are physically active fewer than 3 times per week
  • Ever had diabetes while pregnant (gestational diabetes) or gave birth to a baby weighing more than 9 pounds

We are a Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program (MDPP) provider. Individuals who meet eligibility criteria and have Medicare part B or a Medicare Advantage Plan can participate without any out of pocket costs!


PeaceHealth Caregivers with Meritain insurance are covered! As of 2021, PPO plans cover you at 100% (do not have to meet deductible): ABHP plans cover at 100% once your deductible is met.
