At PeaceHealth Southwest our diabetes educators are here to help you control diabetes and its complications while promoting a longer, healthier you. As an American Diabetes Association Recognized program, we work with you and your health care team to best manage and individualize your diabetes care. You can be seen individually and/or receive group education.

  • When eating away from home, how to make healthier food selections
  • How blood-sugar monitoring can help to better manage diabetes
  • What you can do now to prevent or lessen complications that could affect your heart, kidneys, eyes or feet
  • What lifestyle changes can help to meet your diabetes care goals
  • How medications for diabetes work and guidelines on best use
  • How (and why) to include more physical activity into your life
