2014 - For achieving "Meritorious" status with regard to their composite quality score in the outcome areas of: Mortality, Cardiac, Respiratory (pneumonia), Unplanned Intubation, Ventilator > 48 hours, Renal Failure, SSI and UTI for All Surgery cases for the performance period of January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013.
 
PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award
2013 - The award recognizes the hospital's commitment and success in implementing excellent care for stroke patients, according to evidence-based guidelines. It's the second year in a row Sacred Heart earned the award. To receive the award, RiverBend achieved 85% or higher adherence to a number of quality achievement indicators for two or more consecutive 12-month intervals, and achieved 75% or higher compliance with six of 10 quality measures. These measures include aggressive use of medications aimed at reducing death and disability and improving the lives of stroke patients

PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend recognized by the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program
July 2013 - PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend was recognized for surgical quality and named one of the 37 hospitals that achieved meritorious outcomes for surgical patient care for 2012 by the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program. The national recognition places PeaceHealth Sacred Heart in the top 10 percent of hospitals that participate in the respected (ACS NSQIP). A total of 374 hospitals submitted data for 2012, including institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins.
 
PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend was ranked one of the 97 best hospitals in the country for joint replacements by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Studies (CMS) based on low readmission rates.

2012 - Sacred Heart Medical Center is once again the consumer’s choice.  National Research Corporation (NRC) recently recognized the nation’s top hospitals as 2012/13 Consumer Choice Award winners. The award identifies those hospitals that health care consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in more than 300 markets throughout the United States.
 
U.S. News ranks Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend among the best hospitals in Oregon
2012- Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is ranked No. 5 in Oregon and is recognized among the Best Hospitals in Southwestern Oregon. In addition, Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is high-performing in:

According to data published in the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)’s Hospital Compare website, Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend tops the list of hospitals with the lowest 30-day readmission rates for heart failure.

Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend has received Blue Distinction Center designation in spine surgery from Blue Cross Blue Shield
2011 - This is an honor given to hospitals that have demonstrated a comprehensive commitment to quality and improved outcomes. This is the third such designation for Sacred Heart, which previously earned the distinction for cardiac care and hip and knee replacement.
 
Sacred Heart Medical Center has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award
2011 - The award recognizes Sacred Heart’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.
 
Sacred Heart wins 11th consecutive Consumer Choice Award
2011 - Sacred Heart Medical Center is once again the consumer’s choice.  National Research Corporation (NRC) recently recognized the nation’s top hospitals as 2011/12 Consumer Choice Award winners. The award identifies those hospitals that health care consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in more than 300 markets throughout the United States.
 
The Oregon Bariatric Center was re-accredited as a Center of Excellence in by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

The Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute's cardiothoracic surgery program received a prestigious "3 star" rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
October 2010 - Only 11.7 percent of 955 eligible hospitals received the rating, which denotes the highest category of quality.  The Society of Thoracic Surgeons partnered with Consumer Reports Health magazine to publish this data for consumers to review.
 
Sacred Heart Medical Center won a Silver Medal of Honor from the Department of Health and Human Services for its efforts to promote organ donation.
November 2010 - Sacred Heart is the only Oregon hospital to win a 2010 Silver Medal, which is awarded to hospitals for achieving and sustaining national goals for donation, including a donation rate of 75 percent or more of eligible donors.
