Are PeaceHealth employees covered by any unions?

Most positions with PeaceHealth are not covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Employees in positions covered by a CBA may be required to join and pay CBA dues.
 

How big is PeaceHealth in terms of number of beds and number of employees?

Collectively, PeaceHealth provides more than 1,475 licensed acute care beds and 29 licensed nursing home beds. PeaceHealth caregivers include more than 15,870 employees, including 660 employed physicians and providers. (Data as of Fiscal Year 2014)
 

How many admissions, medical group encounters, and lab tests does PeaceHealth handle annually?

During Fiscal Year 2014, PeaceHealth provided patient care to our communities through more than 72, 013 inpatient admissions, 2.3 million medical group encounters, and more than 6 million laboratory tests. ​​
 

Do I have to be Catholic to join PeaceHealth?

No. PeaceHealth has employees from many religions as well as those who do not have a religious affiliation. We do have expectations for how employees treat patients and each other that are part of our Mission and Core Values, which are based in Catholic tradition. However, most people find them to be fairly universally held values.

Why are employees referred to as caregivers?

Why does PeaceHealth use an all online application system?

PeaceHealth uses an online application system to better manage the application and hiring process. We receive a large volume of applications and want to give each candidate the attention and consideration that they deserve. By filling out the application online, your application is immediately entered into our database making it searchable by all of our recruiters and available for review. This online database allows you to set up your own personal profile that you can visit as often as you like to update information or apply for additional jobs without having to complete a new application each time.
 

Can I apply from my mobile device?

At this time you can browse open positions but you cannot apply from your mobile device.
 

What employment opportunities are currently available at PeaceHealth?

All open positions are posted at our Careers Site.
 

What should I do if I don't have an e-mail address?

You can create an e-mail address free of charge at a variety of email hosting websites. For example: Hotmail.com, gmail.com, or yahoo.com.
 

What is the Talent Community?

The Talent Community is our automated job opening notification tool. You can create JOB AGENTS, which save your job preferences using keywords and location. You can also select how often you would like to receive these email notifications. You will be notified via email when positions you might be interested in applying for are posted.
 

What are "Job Agents"?

Job Agents allow applicants to customize the job posting email notifications they receive once joining the Talent Community. You can have multiple Job Agents that can be based on your preferences. These e-mails are automated and are sent directly to the email you have provided.

**** Please note: If you receive a Job Agent, you must still submit an application for that position to be considered as a candidate.

How do I stop receiving Job Agent emails?

The next time you receive a Job Agent email click on the provided link to stop the service.
 

How long are the job postings generally on the Careers site?

A position remains on our Careers Site until we have a sufficient applicant pool, or until the positon is filled/cancelled.
 

What if a position I am interested in is not found on the Careers site? Can I submit an application anyway?

How do I submit an application?

Please refer to the following External Applicant Q&A. If you are currently a PeaceHealth caregiver, please go to the Crossroads home page and under “Quick Links” select “Career Opportunities”. 
 

Do I need to add a resume and cover letter to my application?

In order to be considered for a position at PeaceHealth applicants must only complete the online application. The ability to add a resume and/or a cover letter is an optional feature but strongly recommended.
 

How do I upload my resume and cover letter into my application?

I'd like to include a cover letter with my application addressed to the appropriate individual. How can I find out their name?

All applications are received in a central database. It is not necessary to address a cover letter to a specific individual.
 

Why should I create a Candidate Profile?

Creating a candidate profile will ease your job search in a number of ways. It eliminates the need to enter your information each time you apply for a positon. It also allows you to easily update your information if there are any changes. Creating a detailed candidate profile is highly recommended.
 

I encountered an error. What should I do?

If you are not running on a platform or browser supported by our online response form, you will need to upgrade your system and then revisit our site to apply online. We currently support the following platforms and browsers:
 
  • IE 5.5 - 8.0 (on a Windows platform)
  • Netscape Communicator 7.1+ (on a Windows platform)
  • Google Chrome 3.0 (on a Windows platform)
  • Firefox 3.0 on Mac, Windows platform
  • Safari 4.0.3 on Mac

How do I know if you received my application?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address you provided in your Candidate Profile. You can also log back into your Candidate Profile and follow the Job Management link to check the status of your applications.

What can I view once I log into my Candidate Profile?

In your candidate profile, you have the ability to:

  • Apply for positions
  • Edit your contact information and previously submitted applications
  • Update your e-mail address
  • Change your password
  • Edit/Update your candidate profile, resume, and/or cover letter
  • View all of the jobs you have applied to and see the status of each application in the Job Management tab
  • Withdraw your application(s)

I submitted my application for a position and now I need to make changes. What should I do?

Will I be notified if the job is filled or if I make it to the next step in the process?

Once you apply for a positon you can expect to receive an email notification of any status change. A member of the Talent Acquisition team may also reach out to you directly. You can also view the status of your application by signing into your Candidate Profile and following the “Job Management” link.
