Teen Heart Screening Events

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that PeaceHealth is no longer able to sustain this program, and there are no plans to hold any events now or in the future.

In partnership with the Quinn Driscoll Foundation, it was our privilege to hold 13 screening events between the years of 2010 – 2020 and screen over 2,700 teens in our community.  These events helped raise funds that provided grants for AED’s (Automatic External Defibrillators) and training in schools throughout the area.

If your child is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, or if you have concerns about your child’s heart health, please make an appointment with their primary care physician as soon as possible, and do not wait to seek professional help.

Symptoms of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in Teens may include, but are not limited to:

• Shortness of Breath
• Chest Pain
• Light Headedness and Blackouts
