Employee Assistance Program

Health Promotion Northwest Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offered by PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, provides short-term counseling and referrals for employees (and their family members) of contracted companies. The program offers free, confidential, professional counseling to help employees and their families resolve problems that affect their personal lives and/or job performance. Callers can usually be seen within one to three business days, and there is always a professional on-call to deal with emergency situations.  

Health Promotion Northwest also offers general services to the local public. You can learn more about these services on the Help for General Public Services page.

The EAP provides:

  • Individual counseling
  • Family, parenting and marital counseling
  • Help identifying community resources
  • Referral for financial and legal problems
  • Critical incident stress debriefing
  • Alcohol/drug abuse assessment and referral
  • Work group interventions and consultations for supervisors

Office Hours

Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Clinical hours are available in the evening by appointment. All appointments are scheduled through our central reception staff in the Bellingham office.
