Ali Al-Hilli, MD, MSc, FACP is a board-certified pulmonologist at PeaceHealth. His medical interests include high blood pressure conditions in the arteries of the lungs, advanced bronchoscopy, sepsis care and ultrasound use at the bedside. Dr. Al-Hilli received his medical degree from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland. He completed two residencies after medical school. His medical and surgical residency was at the University Hospital of Southampton in Southampton, United Kingdom. His internal medicine residency was at the Marshfield Clinic at the Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Dr. Al-Hilli finished a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wales in Cardiff, United Kingdom. Dr. Al-Hilli’s philosophy of care focuses on the whole-person and compassion for his patients. "I apply the latest evidence-based medical information and skills to provide the best care for my patients," he says. "I encourage patient education and shared decision-making." Before joining PeaceHealth, Dr. Al-Hilli served on the Wisconsin Medical Society’s Board of Directors and advised on healthcare legislation. He also ran clinical trials and served as an academic hospitalist at the Marshfield Medical Center in Wisconsin. Outside of work, Dr. Al-Hilli spends time with loved ones, enjoys being outdoors and exercising. He is conversational in Arabic, French and Polish.
