Colin O’ Brien, MD, is family medicine physician who provides care for all ages. His areas of interest include preventive medicine, sports medicine, exercise and nutrition. Dr. O’Brien earned his medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. His family medicine residency was completed at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington in Vancouver. “I value getting to know my patients on a personal level,” shares Dr. O’Brien. “I believe understanding my patients as a whole, including their social context, hobbies, interests, past experience, values, and beliefs helps me provide the best care I can.” Dr. O’Brien’s goal is to meet patients where they are and form a plan that protects and fosters their health. Prior to medical school Dr. O’Brien worked as an EMT as well as spending several years as a skydive instructor and coach. Dr. O’Brien is married to Becca. They have two girls as well as a black lab. They dream of having a few acres of land with a couple of miniatures cows one day. In the meantime, he enjoys vegetable gardening, fishing, hiking and playing with his children.
