Biography
Courtney Beuning, DO, is an infectious disease specialist who joined PeaceHealth in 2022. She sees patients in Bellingham. Courtney completed her medical training at the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, Wash., and a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. Courtney has researched COVID-19 testing methods including the impact of pre-procedure screening, modes of collection and antigen testing performance based on specimen type. She also has experience developing protocols to improve HIV and hepatitis C screening rates, and at one point in her career, surveyed west slope cutthroat trout in the wilds of Montana. Before joining PeaceHealth, Courtney served as attending physician in infectious disease at MultiCare Health Systems in Tacoma, Wash. and practiced internal medicine in Skagit county.
