We welcomed Gurkaran S. Thiara, MD, to the PeaceHealth Medical Group Sedro-Woolley Family Medicine team of providers in 2019. Dr. Thiara comes to PeaceHealth from Huntsville Regional Medical Campus in Alabama where he completed his Family Medicine residency. While completing core medical training, Dr. Thiara gained experience in an array of health care settings and clinical specialties. He has a special medical interest in chronic disease care and management and is board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Thiara is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Thiara enjoys serving the communities in which he works and sees his role as a physician extending beyond clinical practice. He takes pride in helping support local food banks and has volunteered for hands-on-building projects through Habitat for Humanity. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Thiara enjoys downtime with his family and friends. He is pleased to be a part of the Sedro-Woolley community and looks forward to seeing patients and settling into his new practice.
