Irena Kuca MD

Irena Kuca, MD, is a family medicine physician at PeaceHealth. Prior to her transfer to Bellingham, she spent three years practicing medicine at PeaceHealth in Eugene, Oregon. She practices full scope family medicine and has a special interest in preventative and lifestyle medicine, as well as performing various procedures.

Originally from the Czech Republic, she grew up in British Columbia, Canada, and studied mathematics and biology. She spent some years traveling the world prior to entering medicine and receiving her degree from Saba University School of Medicine in Saba, Caribbean Netherlands. She completed her family medicine residency program at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Kuca is thrilled be back home in the Pacific Northwest, close to family and to the mountains.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kuca spends her free time hiking, trail running, biking and backpacking around the world. And if you’re wondering, her name is pronounced “Koo-cha!”
