Biography
Jessica McDonnell, NP, is a certified family nurse practitioner with the cardiology team at PeaceHealth.
She attended the George Washington School of Nursing in Ashburn, Virginia for her Master of Science in Nursing and Northeastern University School of Nursing in Ashburn, Virginia for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Jessica also holds an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Hawaii in Manoa, Hawaii. After college, she played professional soccer in Germany and experienced numerous cultures living in Europe, New Zealand, Australia before pursuing her nursing career.
“I pursed nursing because of its core concept and philosophy – the emphasis on establishing a relationship with patients to ensure quality care,” she said. “Helping patients understand their health and how they can improve it is the best part of my job.”
She previously worked as a family nurse practitioner and a registered nurse in Massachusetts and Colorado.
Outside of clinic, Jessica enjoys spending time outdoors and being active with her husband and their two Alaskan Malamute pups, biking, trail running, snowboarding and skiing.
