Ji-Ming Joshua Yune, MD, joined the Trauma team at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in 2023. He earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. He completed his general surgery residency at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, Calif., and a surgical critical care/trauma fellowship at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. “I went into trauma surgery,” he says, “because I like the idea of caring for someone in a holistic way — being able to take care of someone who is probably having one of the worst days of their life and helping them get through that.” His hobbies include aviation — he is working on his private pilot license — travel, international cuisine, hiking and outdoor activities.
