Biography

We welcomed Joshua Brawley, PA-C, to the PeaceHealth Medical Group Orthopedics team of providers in 2019. Joshua is no stranger to the Bellingham community, as he previously practiced at the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center Emergency Department for over 11 years. Joshua grew up in Modesto, California, and earned his bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the University of California- Santa Cruz in 1997. After working in cancer research in Seattle for six years, he earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies and master of public health from Touro University California in San Francisco. “Medicine was a clear vocation for me. I enjoy problem-solving and developing relationships with patients to best suit their needs," he said. Joshua loves the Pacific Northwest and moved to Bellingham to be closer to the mountains. He spends most winter weekends at Mt. Baker skiing with his children and wife; he also enjoys mountain biking and camping throughout the year. When he’s not working, fixing his bike or playing outdoors with family and friends, you can usually find him with a Lonely Planet guidebook, planning his next international travel adventure.
