Dr. Kevin deWeber is a sports medicine and family medicine physician and a nationally recognized author, teacher and clinician. He is full-time faculty at the Southwest Washington Sports Medicine Fellowship and Family Medicine Residency in Vancouver, WA. As a registered musculoskeletal sonographer, he does bedside diagnostic imaging and ultrasound-guided injections, and teaches ultrasound around the country. Auricular acupuncture for acute pain control is also in his skillset. He was one of a handful of Team USA Physicians at the Rio 2016 Olympics and cared for several Olympic teams prior to London 2012 Olympics. He has traveled with elite athletes around the world for international competitions including the 2007 Military World Games in India. He served as Chief Medical Officer for Team USA at the 2011 Military World Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Dr. deWeber’s education included a BS in Microbiology at the University of Washington in 1988, an MD degree at the military medical school in 1992, the Madigan Army family medicine residency in 1995, and the military’s sports medicine fellowship in 2001. After serving for 25 years on active duty, he retired from Army service as a colonel and returned home to Washington to serve the Vancouver community. He currently provides Sports Medicine services to high schools, Clark College, and professional mixed martial arts and boxing events. He loves to hunt and fish; stays fit with Krav Maga self-defense; and leads worship music at his church.
