Biography
Margaret (Maggie) M. Gustafson, DNP, ARNP, FNP – BC, joined PeaceHealth in November 2021. She has advanced nursing credentials with a doctorate in nursing practice. She serves as a family nurse practitioner at the Fairhaven Same Day Clinic in Bellingham. She previously worked with Providence Medical Group’s Family Medicine providing continuity care including chronic disease management and pediatric wellness exams. She is skilled at procedures including colposcopy, intrauterine devices, Nexplanon, incision and drainage, cryo-therapy, suturing and management of Accutane patients. She also worked in Providence’s Urgent Care and Express Care practices as a Family Nurse Practitioner providing urgent and same-day care. Maggie also spent seven years as an RN at Swedish Medical Center’s Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit in Seattle, Wash., managing critically ill, medical, neuro-surgical and surgical patients. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University, Intercollegiate College of Nursing in 2008 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner from University of Washington, School of Nursing in 2016, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

I appreciate her approach of relaxed, nonjudgmental professionalism that makes it easy to ask questions.
Margaret Gustafson was recommended to me because she is known to be an enthusiast of diet and exercise in maintaining health. While I have taken all the tests and been prescribed a drug for high cholesterol, and everyone says "processed food is not good for you" no one mentioned vitamins - or diets - etc. Menus, breakfast lunch and dinners etcetera and this is what I specifically went into Dr. Gustafson to talk about.
