Biography
Mark “Alan” Martin, MD, Bio Alan Martin, MD, joined PeaceHealth’s cardiology department in 2023. He’s fellowship trained in cardiothoracic surgery and spent 25 years repairing hearts in the Portland, Oregon area. His expertise includes adult cardiac surgery, thoracic trauma, major aortic surgery, all arterial revascularization and adult ECMO. Dr. Martin completed his medical training at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana, and his cardiac fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He also previously served as section chief of the cardiac program at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Outside of the operating room, Alan enjoys cycling, hiking and golfing, along with traveling, cooking new recipes or working on his latest home remodeling project.
