Nashwa Abdulsalam, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and electrophysiologist that specializes in treating complex cardiac arrhythmias, commonly known as irregular heartbeats. She earned her medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, followed by a cardiovascular disease fellowship from University of Nebraska in Omaha, Nebraska. She also completed a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology from University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Abdulsalam has a particular interest in cardiovascular disease in women and a treatment technique called pulse field ablation, which has enhanced the speed and safety of treating complex cardiac arrhythmia (AFib). “My focus is on providing compassionate medical which means seeing the whole person, not just their illness,” shares Dr. Abdulsalam. “It’s about blending clinical excellence with empathy and ensuring every patient feels valued, understood and respected. By listening deeply and responding thoughtfully, we build trust and promote healing.” Away from work, Dr. Abdulsalam enjoys Barre, hiking, improv and writing.
