We welcomed Rupesh Kumar, MD, to the PeaceHealth Medical Group Internal Medicine team of providers in 2018. He has a special medical interest in cardiac diseases and enjoys comanaging cardiology patients. Dr. Kumar comes to PeaceHealth from Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington, where he practiced as a hospitalist. His previous experience in the hospital setting provides him with a solid foundation in assessing, evaluating, diagnosing, treating and managing complex medical conditions. He enjoys working one-on-one with patients in the primary care setting to create individualized treatment plans. Dr. Kumar has been active in organizations and committees related to medical care quality improvement, community health and athletics. "Patient care comes first; we are here because of our patients," he said. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending time with family, taking part in outdoor activities, and playing and watching sports.
