Stephen Yau MD

Stephen Yau, MD, is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine, with a particular focus in treating severe asthma and COPD (lung disease).

Dr. Yau earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. From there, he received additional training in internal medicine and pulmonary/critical care at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.

“As a physician it’s important that I build a relationship with my patients on a foundation of trust and transparency,” shares Dr. Yau. “My goal is to help patients live well and achieve a quality of life they are happy with. I want to inspire patients to help themselves by doing the right things.”

Away from work Dr. Yau loves to travel with his family and enjoys playing the piano. He is also a chess enthusiast and a huge fan of tennis, having played competitively in college.
