Susan L. Reed, NP, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Cardiology team of providers in January 2022. Susan brings extensive experience as a cardiology nurse practitioner to PeaceHealth and has been a certified nurse practitioner for nearly two decades. Susan previously practiced as a cardiology nurse practitioner at Swedish Heart and Vascular Clinic in Seattle, Washington. She has a Master of Nursing from the University of Washington and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University. Susan has served as a preceptor and mentor to new nurse practitioners sharing her talents to build up the skills of new professionals. Over the years Susan has also shared her expertise through publishing research and presenting at conferences. Susan is eager to impart her knowledge onto her patients. Patient education is at the forefront of the care Susan provides. Susan shared, “I enjoy teaching patients about their health, any testing or procedures they will have and about their medications.” Susan believes a collaborative approach is key to patient care sharing, “We are a team, and I want to be your biggest supporter.” When not taking care of her patients, Susan enjoys spending her time gardening and playing with her dogs.
