Yu Kyung (Kelly) Son, NP, is joining the PeaceHealth Medical Group’s family medicine team at the Barger clinic in Eugene. She received a masters of science in nursing from the University of South Alabama. She comes to PeaceHealth having most recently worked at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, where she belonged to the operating room staff as well as serving as the weekend charge nurse and unit preceptor. She strongly believes in preventative care and is guided by the quote: “Cure sometimes, treat often and comfort always” by Hippocrates. “I will always try to be a provider who gives comfort to people I care for,” she said. “I will emphasize checkups, and if find something early on, there’s more chance to take care of it.” Son is also fluent in Korean.
