In Memory of Liliya Zagariya
Help us create the Liliya Zagariya Scholarship
Liliya Zagariya led a life dedicated to her faith, her family, and the community. She was known by those who loved her as kind and caring, and she was always willing to help others. Her bright light shone with everyone she encountered.
She had finished her training to become a volunteer EMT with Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue. She was set to start the fire academy two weeks before she was killed in December 2020. “She would definitely fit in with the fire service when she did ride along with us, and … I think she had a bright future ahead as a paramedic,” said Chief Lafave from Cowlitz 2.
In Liliya’s memory, friends, PeaceHealth coworkers, and members of her extended fire and rescue family are creating a scholarship in her name for future students who are entering the paramedic profession. This scholarship will ensure Liliya’s legacy will continue in other students pursuing their dreams to become a paramedic.
