Health Career Scholarships: Southwest
PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation’s Health Career Scholarships are funded by proceeds from the annual Caregiver Campaign and from philanthropic donors in the community. Scholarships are available to Southwest caregivers and volunteers pursuing higher education for healthcare-related careers.
The number of scholarships awarded each year is determined by the PeaceHealth Southwest Scholarship Committee, taking into account available funds and qualifications of the applicants.
Scholarship applications are accepted from February to early April each year.
The Scholarship committee (made up of caregivers and volunteers) meets to review the applications in mid-April and selects the scholarship recipients for the following school year (July – June). Awardees are notified in early-May and invited to attend a special reception in their honor. Funds are distributed to the colleges and universities in July.
