PeaceHealth Southwest Hospice Seeks Volunteers for Children's Bereavement Program

Stepping Stones provides support for children, teens and their families as they work through the grief process

VANCOUVER, Washington – Hope Bereavement Services of PeaceHealth Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to assist in their children’s bereavement program, Stepping Stones. Facilitated by PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation, Stepping Stones provides essential grief support for children, teens, and their families as they work through the grief process.

Volunteers are trained to listen and reflect with families who have experienced the death of a loved one. This role-specific facilitator training session is January 26, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m at PeaceHealth Hospice in Vancouver, located at 5400 MacArthur Boulevard. There is no fee for the training. Hospice volunteer training is also required. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of one year to the program.
