Physical Therapy
Individual Physical Therapy at the Grabow Therapy & Wellness Center
Physical therapists are primarily concerned with treating a patient’s inability to move around and/or to function as they did prior to an injury or illness. We offer comprehensive care for treating injuries, disorders and surgery follow-up as well as helping to educate you in how to avoid re-injury.
Physical therapists begin with an evaluation to assess what the patient can do and observe how they do it. This includes checking muscle strength, control and range of motion. Functional skills are also measured, including posture, balance and the ability to get in/out of a car or bed.
Physical therapists use these measurements to determine a patient’s strengths and weaknesses. With this knowledge, the patient and physical therapist work together to set an individualized treatment program, including goals.
