PeaceHealth transitions chief administrative officer role to proven leader

PeaceHealth’s widely-respected chief administrative officer Carol Aaron has announced that she will transition into her long-planned retirement by the end of calendar year 2019 after nine years of service with the health system.

Aaron’s deeply held commitment to community health and passion for organizational and talent development has been the emphasis of her more than 30-year career in healthcare. Since joining PeaceHealth in 2010, she has been instrumental in the organization’s acceleration as an integrated system serving communities in Oregon, Washington and Alaska, as well as the development of leadership and organizational strategies to advance clinical excellence and compassionate care to the communities PeaceHealth serves. 

“We are extremely grateful for Carol’s countless contributions to PeaceHealth,” said Liz Dunne, president and chief executive officer for PeaceHealth. “Through her valuable leadership, she has modernized and strengthened our governance at the system and community levels, more strongly aligned our strategy with our ‘people-first, community-centered’ mission, and enabled all of us to depend on the very best talent across our 16,000-strong team of incredible caregivers.” 

Steve Glenn, currently senior vice president, governance and support services, will now advance to executive vice president, chief administrative officer.  Glenn will oversee several business areas, including mission services, marketing and communications, facilities and construction, business transformation office, board governance and PeaceHealth's System Services Center.

“Steve’s unflappable leadership, strong organizational skills and strategic insights have proven invaluable to our organization and to those whom have had the pleasure of partnering with him on our Mission-critical work,” said Dunne. “PeaceHealth looks forward to continuing to benefit from the talents of this highly-valued and committed servant leader as Steve steps into his expanded and well-earned new role.”
