PeaceHealth has named John Bennett as chief executive of ambulatory services. Bennett will lead the organization’s continued focus on expanding access to care and enhancing the consumer and patient experience for outpatient services, including primary care, post-acute and community-based services.
“PeaceHealth is committed to caring for and supporting our communities where they are,” said Richard DeCarlo, executive vice president and chief operating officer for PeaceHealth. “I’m pleased to welcome John to the PeaceHealth team. His experience and knowledge are perfectly suited to lead our emphasis on innovative and convenient outpatient care – offering healthcare consumers a frictionless experience, exceptional clinical quality, and expanded access all delivered at the best value.”
Bennett brings over 20 years of experience in physician practice management and integration of medical groups with ambulatory care at the regional and system level. Most recently, he served as chief executive for St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare in southern California. In this role, Bennett provided executive leadership for four medical groups and aligned ambulatory, regional and hospital strategies while developing new partnership to increase access points.
Bennett will begin his new role at PeaceHealth in early October.
