PeaceHealth Medical Group is now offering telephone visits for its patients in Alaska, Oregon and Washington. As we work together to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, this allows our patients to get healthcare services without having to leave their homes, when appropriate.
These visits will be offered to:
- Patients with already scheduled appointments that can’t be postponed to a later date.
- Patients scheduling new appointments who have previously been established with PeaceHealth, including concerns for COVID-19-related symptoms.
Please call your local PHMG clinic to coordinate telephone visits. Please note: Not all visits are appropriate for telephone appointments, such as wellness exams.
COVID-19 Testing:
There is currently a nationwide shortage of COVID-19 test kits and limited capacity of labs to analyze results. At this time, PeaceHealth hospitals and clinics are only testing people for COVID-19 who fall into several high-risk categories, including those needing to be admitted to our hospitals, and those who are at highest risk of spreading the virus to others, including healthcare and public safety workers. We hope to be able to provide more testing in the future and will continue to reevaluate as testing capabilities increase across the nation.
In-person visits:
Face-to-face exams are being prioritized for those with immediate or urgent health needs. When visiting our clinics, if you are experiencing fever or respiratory infection symptoms (e.g. cough), please call your healthcare provider’s office before arriving or scheduling an appointment to determine the appropriate care setting and testing process. No visitors are allowed in clinics at this time, except for those accompanying patients needing assistance.
PeaceHealth is also conducting temperature screenings for all patients, visitors and caregivers at our clinics using non-contact thermometers. Any patient with a temperature of 100.4 degrees will be asked to wear a mask. Thank you for your cooperation.
