Construction to begin on PeaceHealth Women’s Health Clinic on Birchwood Avenue

BELLINGHAM, WA – PeaceHealth caregivers, leaders and vendors attended the groundbreaking for a new Women’s Health Clinic on June 20. The two-story, 17,000 square-feet building will be at 220 Birchwood Ave., and provide the following services:
- Well-woman care
- Routine and high-risk obstetrics
- Gynecological procedures
- Lactation program
- Imaging
- Lab
- Prenatal education
“We are thrilled that we are finally at the stage of breaking ground for our new OB/GYN clinic.” said Misty Parris, vice president of operations for PeaceHealth Medical Group. “Clinicians, caregivers and patients, along with representatives from many other support services, have given their time to help develop what we believe will be a wonderful space for women to receive care.”
The clinic’s proximity to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center will be ideal for providers—three nurse practitioners, six certified nurse midwives and 13 physicians.
The building was designed by PKA Architects, a Portland, Oregon, firm that specializes in healthcare facilities. Cushman Wakefield will manage the project and Exxel Pacific is the general contractor.
The clinic is expected to be completed and open to patients in summer 2023.
