Volunteers Needed at PeaceHealth Richard Nau Hospice House

LONGVIEW, Wash. – In advance of PeaceHealth’s scheduled reopening of the former Longview Hospice Care Center, the not-for-profit organization is currently recruiting and training volunteers to support the renamed Richard Nau Hospice House. The facility’s anticipated opening is scheduled for early 2024.
PeaceHealth’s Hospice volunteers play a crucial role in supporting patients, their families and staff through a variety of services. Volunteer activities at the PeaceHealth Richard Nau Hospice House may include tasks like welcoming visitors at the reception desk or restocking supplies.
Upcoming hospice volunteer training dates are Tuesday, Dec. 5 and Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Training consists of two in-person meetings along with an online component. Volunteer qualifications include:
- 18+ years of age
- Pass a background check
- Attend required training
- Annual flu shot
- First two (2) COVID vaccinations or an approved medical/religious exemption
