SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – PeaceHealth has announced updates to the University District Urgent Care Clinic’s operating hours.

The clinic will open at 8 a.m. and accept new walk-in patients until 8 p.m. The new hours go into effect on Friday, June 28.

The change in the clinic’s hours is due to low patient visits during late night hours.

The clinic has been open until 11 p.m. since relocating to University District from West 11th, but since December the average number of patients arriving during late night hours has steadily declined. Over the last six months, fewer than five patients a day on average arrive between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The University District Urgent Care Clinic will continue to accept all patients, regardless of whether they have insurance or are covered by Medicare/Medicaid. The clinic also will see any patient, regardless of whether their primary care physician is associated with another health care group, or they are unconnected to a primary care physician. In addition, PeaceHealth Medical Group continues to explore ways its new pediatrics clinic at Valley River Center can better serve the community and is continuing to build out the operations of the new primary care clinic in Pleasant Hill.

The urgent care is located on the ground floor of the PeaceHealth Medical Group building at 1200 W. Hilyard Street, Suite 110, with convenient access from both the parking garage off Patterson Street to the west and Hilyard Street to the east. The clinic is also accessible via the Lane Transit District bus system, with an EMX stop at Hilyard and 11th Avenue.
