Longview, WASH. – The Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC) TopProjects Awards, the premier recognition program for the region’s built environment, presented PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center with a Top Project Award for its 8th floor renovation project during its annual award ceremony on June 6 at the Portland Convention Center. Honoring the best building and construction projects in the Pacific Northwest, DJC TopProjects acknowledges people and firms who are doing outstanding work in the regional built environment.

The project, which was completed in October 2023, involved updating St. John’s medical-surgical unit to provide increased functionality and modifying 16 double-occupancy patient rooms to 20 single-occupancy rooms. This meant a complete demolition and rebuild of the floor. “This recognition is a testament to PeaceHealth’s unwavering commitment of providing exceptional care in a healing environment to Cowlitz County. We are incredibly proud of the work of our team and grateful to our partners that helped make this project happen," says Jake Childs, PeaceHealth St. John Vice President of Operations.

Further information on the project can be found in the Daily Journal of Commerce.
