Stormwater pipe replacement project requires temporary relocation of entrances, exits and bus stop around the medical center campus
LONGVIEW, Washington (July 11, 2024) – The City of Longview is partnering with PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center to replace a 100-year-old stormwater pipe that has created significant flooding at the medical center over the past few years.
This work will happen over the next two months (July – Sept.), and it will disrupt traffic flow along Delaware Street in front of the medical center campus – a common entrance point to the facility.
Patients and visitors coming to PeaceHealth St. John should be aware of the following:
- Starting as early as Monday, July 15, Delaware Street will be closed to all traffic between 16th Ave. and 18th Ave. This is the area where the pipe will be replaced.
- Starting Monday, July 22, vehicles will be directed to enter the parking garage off 15th Ave. and to exit the parking garage onto Delaware Street.
- Access to the west parking lot will be restricted to the entrance off Kessler Blvd.
- A section of street parking along 15th Ave. will not be available for parking; the bus stop along Delaware Street will be temporarily relocated to the area along 15th Ave. for the duration of the project.
Please plan accordingly and allow extra time for parking to arrive on time to your appointments at the medical center or PeaceHealth Medical Group clinics.
