Oregon Lung Specialists to join PeaceHealth Medical Group

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – To maintain and expand a vital service in Eugene/Springfield, providers and staff at Oregon Lung Specialists will be joining PeaceHealth Medical Group.

The new clinic will be named PeaceHealth Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Chad Drive and become part of PeaceHealth Medical Group effective Dec. 2, 2024. The clinic will remain at its current location, 3125 Chad Drive, Suite 100, Eugene, and its new phone number will be 541-743-4700.

All six providers at Oregon Lung Specialists are joining PeaceHealth Medical Group and will continue to care for current patients. They include Khuram Ameen, MD, James Christon, MD, Dennis Hopkinson, MD, Karthik Mahadevan, MD, Binaya Rimal, MD, and Matthew Walter, MD. Hira Irfan, MD, will join the clinic in January 2025.

Other clinical staff joining PeaceHealth Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Chad Drive include physician assistant Jason Olson (PAC) and respiratory therapists (RRTs) Melissa Stephens, Kenneth Carter and Samantha Wagner.

The providers at PeaceHealth Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Chad Drive specialize in diagnosing, managing and treating a full spectrum of lung and respiratory diseases and sleep disorders. They offer specialized consultation and treatment for patients suffering from diseases of the lungs and respiratory system including asthma, COPD, lung cancer, interstitial lung diseases, as well as sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy.
