PeaceHealth named No. 1 Healthiest Employer in Washington
| News
VANCOUVER, WA – PeaceHealth was recently ranked as the No. 1 Healthiest Employer in Washington for organizations with 5,000 or more employees by Healthiest Employer® in partnership with Springbuk. Bolstered by our innovative and holistic employee health and wellness programs, this is the sixth year in a row PeaceHealth has secured the number one spot.
The Healthiest Employers Award celebrates companies that prioritize their people by investing in their employees’ health. PeaceHealth was recognized for our commitment to expanding our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with emotional support initiatives like therapy groups, mindfulness meditations, and wellness workshops. PeaceHealth funds the EAP and it includes a wide range of culturally responsive, evidence-based mental health services, including therapy, coaching, and on-demand self-help tools across areas such as career growth, LGBTQ+ wellness, parenting, and recovery support. Spring Health, our EAP partner, reported that in 2023:
- Nearly 37% of PeaceHealth caregivers utilized the EAP, significantly exceeding industry averages.
- Over 28,000 appointments were booked by caregivers and dependents, with enrollment growing by 53% since 2022, including a doubling of dependent participation.
- Among caregivers with depressive symptoms, 87% experienced measurable clinical improvement.
“These statistics, in addition to caregiver feedback and internal reviews, show that we’re providing caregivers with the resources they want and need,” said Eve Logsdon, senior vice president and chief human resources officer. “We will continue to make them available where, when, and how caregivers prefer to access help.”
