Urgent and Priority Care

Priority, Same-Day and Urgent Care Clinics

The right time to see a doctor is when it’s best for you. PeaceHealth prioritizes your health by offering options for where to get care.

You’ll usually want start with your primary care provider’s office. But if they can’t see you today, our immediate-care clinics are the perfect second option.

These clinics offer care for health concerns that aren’t considered emergencies but that should be seen within 24 hours of when the injury happened or you first noticed symptoms. Immediate care is also an option for many things you may have thought about going to the ER for.

Most Priority, same-day and urgent care clinics offer:

  • Extended hours

  • X-rays

  • Lab tests

This means you get the care you need in one place.

What to see us for.

Illness and injury can happen when you least expect them.

You can see us for immediate concerns such as:

  • Asthma attacks

  • Boils, cysts, abscesses, rashes and other skin conditions

  • Injuries from falls

  • Minor to moderate burns or cuts that need stitches

  • Prescriptions to treat common infections (sinus, ear, urinary tract, strep throat, pneumonia, etc.)

  • Sprains or breaks of hands, fingers, arms, toes or feet

  • Sudden sharp or shooting pain that doesn’t go away (if you’re having chest pain, go to the emergency room)

  • Symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases

Note: Are you having chest pain, difficulty breathing or severe bleeding? These may be life-threatening. Call 911 or go to the closest emergency room.

A team that knows you.

Your immediate care team can include urgent care doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and support staff. If you’re a PeaceHealth patient, they’ll have access to your health records. This means you’ll get care based on your personal medical history. It also means your PCP will be able to see what happened during your visit if you need follow-up care. Each patient will receive a summary of the visit for their personal records.

Care for all.

You don’t have to be a PeaceHealth patient to visit one of our Priority, same-day or urgent care clinics. We welcome everyone of all ages.

Seeing a provider at a Priority Care clinic costs the same as it does to see a PeaceHealth primary care provider. Just like a PCP visit, diagnostic services like X-rays and drawing blood may have an added cost.

We offer financial assistance (sliding fees) based on family size and income. For more information about PeaceHealth’s Financial Assistance Policy, please call 877-202-3597. You can also check to see if your insurance is accepted.

Easy to find, easy to schedule care.

With many locations, extended hours and convenient appointment times, it’s easy to get the care you need.  If you have a PeaceHealth primary care provider, one of your many benefits is that you can schedule a Priority Care visit in advance through the My PeaceHealth patient portal. If you need a PCP, find one who is taking new patients.

All Priority, same-day and urgent care locations allow you to drop-in for care. Priority Care clinics also allow you to call ahead to book a visit.

Seamless access to specialty services.

In some cases you may benefit from additional care for heart, lung, orthopedic or other chronic conditions. We can coordinate these services, make referrals and stay in touch with any specialist you may see.
