PeaceHealth Hospice provides a comfortable and dignified transition toward the end of life for patients with terminal illnesses. Using expert skills, our entire team works with patients and their loved ones to keep them comfortable and supported. Our specially trained care team serves patients wherever they live — in their own homes, assisted and senior living or skilled nursing facilities. 

 

Anticipatory Grief Support

Caring for a loved one with a terminal illness can be an overwhelming experience. There are many losses to which one must adjust. Life is forever changed. Knowing what is normal and what to expect can be helpful in coping with this painful experience.

  • Consultation for families coping with a life-threatening illness
  • Bereavement counselors provide support to children and adults

  • Education presentations for schools, businesses and community groups

Day Groups

Tuesdays In-person Day Group

This free group meets on the second and the fourth Tuesday of the month from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. A $5 dollar donation is suggested. Masks are required. Call to register.

Group will meet in the Willow room of the Hope Bereavement Center located at:

Thursdays In-person Day Group

This free group meets on the first and the third Thursday of the month from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm. A $5 dollar donation is suggested. Masks are required. Call to register.

Evening Groups

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an integral part of Hope Bereavement Services. These volunteers assist in making possible the unique services that the Bereavement program provides for individual and families. Volunteers are highly valued for their generosity in donating numerous hours each year.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Facilitators for children’s grief support groups
  • In-home caregiver respite (no hands-on care)
  • Hospice House patient/family/staff support
