Through the Stronger Together campaign, our goal is to create a new PeaceHealth St. Joseph that’s modern and innovative in every way, from its footprint to patient room design and from the way it integrates medical technology to the way it makes people feel.

By building a better hospital, we are building better health and a stronger Whatcom County.

Here's how we're investing in the health our community:

The time is now.

When St. Joseph was built in 1966, Whatcom County’s population was about 75,000. Today, that number has tripled to over 226,000 and is growing rapidly.

The medical center expansion addresses the urgent need for more space in the Emergency Department and Childbirth Center enabling us to continue caring for our growing community. These two areas of the hospital have the broadest-reaching impacts on community health. With more space, we will address overcrowding, quickly treat and admit patients, and address inefficiencies that impact both patients and caregivers.

To meet the growing health needs of our region, PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center must expand and innovate. PeaceHealth is making significant investments in capital improvements to increase access to world-class care and transform our hospital for the future of medicine and the future of our region.

We invite you to join us in our healing mission to ensure accessible patient-centered, seamless care for generations to come. We truly are stronger together.

Your support makes a lifesaving impact and world-class care possible.
