For The Media
Information about patients at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center is not available to the public, including media, without the express written approval of the patient or the patient's family. If permission has been given, information about the status of patients is available through Community Relations at (907) 228-8300 x7177.
Journalists are welcome at any PeaceHealth facility. We are open to hosting individual reporters or crews who would like to learn more about the exceptional medicine and compassionate care provided by the staff at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center.
Federal law requires us to maintain strict rules regarding patient confidentiality. Therefore, we must accompany members of the media at all times while inside our medical facilities.
Journalists are asked to contact Communications (907) 228-8300 x7176 or the Community Relations office (907) 228-8300 x7177 and we can assist you in arranging interviews for your news story. We will then make arrangements to meet and escort you to your campus destination.
