Colleen Storey, holistic care supervisor, Respect Award
| Everyday Moments | Mission | Videos
Compassion for people who are grieving is part of this Vancouver caregiver's calling.
Colleen Storey’s compassion for others showed up in kindergarten. But it didn’t become her calling until mid-career.
A boyfriend’s sudden death led her away from graphic design to healthcare. Colleen is now the holistic care supervisor for Home and Community in Vancouver and Longview, Washington.
“I wanted bereavement to be my focus to help people to navigate that journey of grief better than I did,” she says.
Colleen is PeaceHealth’s 2024 systemwide Mission and Values Award recipient for Respect.
MVAs are PeaceHealth’s highest annual honor. They recognize caregivers for living out PeaceHealth’s Mission and Values (Social Justice, Stewardship, Respect and Collaboration).
