Did you know that blackberries are high in fiber? A diet high in fiber can help you stay fuller longer and it also provides nourishing fuel for a healthy gut. Make this quick blackberry compote to have on hand for anytime you want to add a sweet treat to your meal.
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
Directions
Place berries and orange juice in a blender or food processor. Process until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve chilled over plain Greek yogurt, angel food cake or ice cream. Can be served warm over French toast, waffles, pancakes, biscuit/English muffin, oatmeal/hot cereal.
