Instructions

It is better to take this medicine on an empty stomach. However, if the medicine is not tolerated well, it may be taken with food.

Take on empty stomach - 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating.

Sit or stand upright for 10 minutes after taking the medicine. Do not lie down.

Swallow with a full glass (8 oz) of water unless your doctor gives you different instructions.

You may take with food to prevent stomach upset.

Store at room temperature away from heat, light, and moisture. Do not keep in the bathroom.

To reduce constipation, eat high fiber foods, drink plenty of water and exercise.

Avoid dairy products, coffee, tea or products containing caffeine within 2 hours before or after taking this medicine.

Do not take any antacid or vitamins with magnesium or aluminum for 2 hours before and 2 hours after taking this medicine.

Do not take antacids 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking this medicine.

This medicine can reduce the absorption of other medicines. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about the best times to use this product.

If you forget to take a dose on time, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, do not take the missed dose. Return to your normal schedule. Do not take 2 doses at one time.

Drug interactions can change how medicines work or increase risk for side effects. Tell your health care providers about all medicines taken. Include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal medicines. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting or stopping any medicine.

This medicine may cause a positive result on some tests that check for blood in the stool. Please tell your doctor or nurse that you are taking this medicine before they perform these tests.

Cautions

Before taking vitamins that contain folic acid, make sure your doctor knows if you have a Vit B12 deficiency.

Vitamins that contain iron or other minerals may interact with antacids or other medications when taken together. Ask your pharmacist how long you should wait between taking this vitamin and your other medicines.

  • vomiting

A few people may have an allergic reaction to this medicine. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, swelling, or severe dizziness. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical help quickly.
