Midwest native relocates to the Pacific Northwest to join PeaceHealth

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Matthew Towler recently began working at PeaceHealth as its new system vice president for facilities and construction. Towler, a Midwest native, brings with him a wealth of experience in healthcare operations and facility management.

Previously based in the Greater Chicago area, Towler most recently worked for Sodexo, NORAM Healthcare, where he was the vice president of facility management operations for 11 hospital locations and 120 ambulatory sites. While at Sodexo, he focused on streamlining expenses, developing asset replacement strategies, and contributing to several strategic construction initiatives.

Towler’s other leadership roles during his career have included vice president of support services for Centegra Health System in Crystal Lake, Ill., and director of facility management operations at Aramark, Chicago Healthcare Operations.

In addition to his work in the healthcare field, from 1991 to 2000, he served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear machinist mate.

In his role at PeaceHealth, Towler is responsible for systemwide leadership, oversight and direction for facilities, construction administration and security services. He is tasked with developing systemwide programs and policies consistent with PeaceHealth’s overall direction and strategic plan.

Towler and his wife, Dana, have five children.

Towler’s first day at PeaceHealth was July 31.
