Hypnotherapist to speak at Feb. 7 support group

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash.– “Inspiration” is a support group offered free of charge at PeaceHealth United General Medical Center to community members living with pulmonary diseases. It is facilitated by registered respiratory therapists.

The Inspiration support group meets from 3 to 4 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month in the Coho Café at PeaceHealth United General Medical, 2000 Hospital Drive in Sedro-Woolley. The next meeting is Feb. 7.

The speaker for February’s support group meeting is Kelley T. Woods, certified clinical hypnotherapist, of the Woods Hypnosis Center in Anacortes. The speaker will address how hypnosis can help with stress and anxiety, sleep problems, pain relief, fears and phobias, weight and eating issues, smoking/tobacco cessation, as well as improve athletic performance, relaxation and more.

Those who participate in the support group will benefit by:

  • Meeting others with similar respiratory challenges;
  • Building a support network;
  • Learning new information about managing their disease; and
  • Experiencing less suffering and an improved quality of life.
