Seasoned congregation, healthcare leader joins PeaceHealth Board of Directors

Sheila Lemieux, CSJP

VANCOUVER, Wash. – PeaceHealth has named Sheila Lemieux, CSJP, to its system board of directors.

Sr. Lemieux has more than 50 years of experience serving in leadership roles with the Sisters of St. Joseph and Peace and PeaceHealth, including 12 years as their congregational leader.

Among her many roles, Sr. Lemieux served as spiritual director for PeaceHealth; former chair of the PeaceHealth System Board of Directors;  an educator with the Seattle Archdiocese and in Ketchikan, Alaska; and a pastoral associate at St. Joseph Catholic Church’s parish in Issaquah, Washington. She currently serves as congregation director of vocation and initial formation for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, overseeing all programs and personnel involved in the initial formation of Sisters.

Sr. Lemieux holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and a master’s of education in administration, both from Seattle University in Washington and a master’s of religious education from Seattle University’s Institute for Spirituality and Workshop. She also holds a certificate of theology from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California.

A seasoned leader with decades of service and leadership experience with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace and PeaceHealth, Sr. Lemieux will be a valuable addition to the PeaceHealth System Board providing ongoing support of PeaceHealth, our communities and the patients we serve.
