Application Process
All fellowship applications are submitted to the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), and fellows are selected through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). An overview of the fellowship application process can be viewed on the AMSSM website. Steps include:

Register with the ERAS Fellowship Documents Office (EFDO) around mid-June. Begin an application and upload all documents such as USMLE scores, COMLEX scores, medical school transcripts, letters of recommendation, photos, and personal statements to this service.

Between July 15 and September 15, apply to this program through ERAS. Applications received by mail will NOT be accepted. Applications must be received through ERAS no later than September 15.
Minimum Eligibility & Requirements
Prior to appointment to the Fellowship, fellows must have completed an ACGME-accredited residency in Family Medicine.
International Medical Graduate (IMG) Applicants

Family Medicine of Southwest Washington is not able to sponsor visas of any type. Successful applicants will be asked to show proof that they can legally work in the U.S.
Selection Process
Applicants who pass the initial screening process by the Applications Committee will be asked to come to the Program for interviews. We will notify applicants in late September regarding their interview status. Interviews will be conducted in early to mid October. Once all interviews are complete, communication with the Program must comply with ethics guidelines set by NRMP Communications Code of Conduct.
